The initial arena and box times for Abbotsford Lacrosse's 2009 season have been set up. Please note that these schedules are currently tentative and are subject to change until the master game schedule is issued. Expect changes when the League Schedule comes out.
All Divisions will begin their 2009 Season on April 14th 2009. All schedules will end on May 4th 2009 to accommodate the tiering structure. The remainder of the season will resume on May 10th 2009.
All coaches will receive the game and practice times in their e-mail and can start to hold their practices in the box. No arena time will be available until at least the end of March 2009.
New clothing will be ordered soon for the 2009 Warrior Wear Store soon !!!
Teamwork & Co-operation
At one point during the game, the coach called one of his ten-year old lacrosse players aside and asked:
“Do you understand what co-operation is? What a team is?”
The little boy nodded in the affirmative.
“Do you understand that what matters is not whether we win or lose, but how we play together as a team?
Again, the little boy nodded yes.
“So,” the coach continued, “I’m sure you know, when a penalty is called, you shouldn’t argue, curse, attack the referee, or call him names. Do you understand all that?”
Again the little boy nodded.
The coach continued, “And when I call you off the floor so that another teammate gets a chance to play, it’s not good sportsmanship to call your coach names and yell profanities at the him, is it?”
Again, the little boy nodded.
“Good, said the coach. “Now, can you please go over there and explain all that to your parents....”
